Join the Lynden Farmer’s Market Board of Directors

The Lynden Farmers Market is more than a place to shop. It is where our community gathers to celebrate local food, support small businesses, and connect with neighbors. Every Saturday, farmers, makers, and families come together to share the best of what Lynden has to offer. If you care about strengthening local food systems, championing small entrepreneurs, and fostering a welcoming community space, we would love for you to consider joining our board of directors.

Open Positions

  • President – Provides leadership, runs board meetings, ensures the board fulfills its responsibilities, and serves as a key ambassador for the market.

  • Secretary – Manages meeting agendas and minutes, maintains records, and supports communication among board members.

Commitment

  • Volunteer position (unpaid).

  • Term: Minimum 1 year.

  • Time: 10+ hours per month (includes monthly board meetings and occasional special projects).

  • Attend and support market events as available.

What We’re Looking For

  • Skills or interest in marketing, branding, event planning, nonprofit management, or community engagement.

  • Reliability, teamwork, and enthusiasm for supporting local farmers, makers, and entrepreneurs.

  • No prior board experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and contribute.
